It was the second time in three seasons the two sides had contested club football’s biggest prize, with Barcelona’s brilliance once again ensuring the Champions League trophy made its way to the Camp Nou.
Messi’s mesmeric magic was the highlight of Barcelona’s dominance, whilst Xavi and Andres Iniesta conducted the flow of the Spaniard’s midfield in signature style.
